— The Name

Serengeti

From Maa: siringet · “the place where the land runs on forever”

Serengeti comes from the Maa word siringet — the endless plain. It is the country the Maasai have walked for centuries: grass, wind, sky, and a horizon that does not end. This belt is the showpiece of the collection. Every colour of the Maasai palette sits side by side in a dense mosaic, a field of diamonds read like miles of grassland seen from the air.
